At the Arrowhead Area Agency on Aging (AAAA), I am the Community Outreach Specialist. In this role, I foster relationships with community members from historically underserved populations, create surveys, content, and various media to connect with and educate community members, and guide evidence-based wellness classes. In my first year, I created educational COVID-19 booster vaccination materials that were distributed to 14,000+ individual residences. In my second year, I created infographics showing important demographic data for older adults in the Arrowhead region and conducted a survey that heard from 280+ community members about 7 topic areas.

As The Furry Dogmother, I have had the privilege to walk and care for over 50+ clients - dogs, cats, turtles, and more! I started this business when I was a Junior in high school (2015), and have had a passion for pet care ever since!

Currently, I still own and operate this business walking dogs, caring for dogs in my home alongside my two dogs, and dropping in to provide care to dogs, cats, and small animals alike!

As a board member on the One Roof Community Housing board of directors, I help to steer the vision and mission of the company, make decisions on behalf of the shareholders, and participate on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee. One Roof Community Housing is a non-profit organization committed to providing housing services and building and sustaining affordable homes and healthy neighborhoods.

As a Principal Office/Administrative Specialist in the Department of Biomedical Sciences, I managed most of the purchasing requests for the research laboratories. I prepared financial requisitions, submitted PO requests, and collaborated with our vendors. Outside of purchasing, I updated and maintained the Department's website, created designs and graphics for campus and articles, and published articles and events.

While in this role, I held multiple titles. I started out as a Pet Care Attendant was promoted to a Team Lead, and ended as a Front Desk Specialist/Social Media Manager. As the Social Media Manager, I helped Canal Bark increase their post interactions by over 100% within a month. I posted consistently to Instagram and Facebook and created graphics and designs for events, social media campaigns, and around the building.

In May of 2018, I embarked on a study abroad trip to Ireland. The trip was called “Innovation in Ireland.” Prior to the trip, we learned about the fundamentals of innovation and a brief history of Irish culture. While abroad, we visited many historical monuments, local businesses and colleges, and met with a local business of our choice. For our term projects, we had to evaluate the business we chose using the innovation criteria we had learned. I chose a local dog kennel in Galway, and learned about what similarities and differences the US and Ireland have regarding pets and pet care. The next Spring (2019), I was chosen to present my project at the Regional Economic Indicators Forum (REIF).

As the Entrepreneurship Intern for MC-Cubed, I helped to generate momentum for a new app the company was creating and testing, Platonic. To do this, I created and optimized a Wordpress website, created and scheduled content for various social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn, created a brand kit, and helped to solidify a viable business plan for the venture.
